(BPRW) GREEN PINES MEDIA PREMIERES MINI-DOCUMENTARY “DOING SOCIAL WORK DIFFERENT” ON AMAZON PRIME

Set to release music from recording artists soon.

(Black PR Wire) Los Angeles, CA - Green Pines Media premieres on Amazon Prime with a mini-documentary called "Doing Social Work Different." The release is a 12 – minute look into the for-profit benefit corporation's journey to help monetize, merchandise, and license exceptional art & music to provide opportunities for Transition-Aged Youth artists. Artists who have "aged-out" of foster care, children's mental health services, and the juvenile justice system can experience a creative job instead of going the traditional route. The founder & CEO, Deena Saunders-Green, MSW, has worked with current and former foster youth as a social worker, foster parent, and mentor for over twelve years.

Deena, with her team of experts, has had experiences like recording at Clear Lake Recording Studios, [Whiz Khalifa, No Doubt, Anthrax] happen for their artists. Number one Billboard charting producer & composer, best-selling author, and professor at USC's Thornton School of Music, Andrae Alexander, as Music Industry Advisor. Terry Green, a 20-year supply chain management & operations veteran, foster parent, and mentor, as Operations Advisor. Tristan Blaine, Esq., a specialist in legal services for e-commerce, small businesses, social enterprises, and freelancers, as Attorney & Legal Advisor. With over 25 years' experience providing legal services for musicians, major record labels, motion picture studios, Gary A. Watson, Esq., as Entertainment Attorney. Green Pine Media's goal is to eliminate "I never had a chance" from the vocabulary of visual and recording artists between the ages of 18 & 30. They learn practical life skills using entrepreneurship & the artist's creativity. This approach also allows the talent to earn money with the bonus of a 50/50 profit split.

Deena Saunders-Green holds a BA in Human Services and an MSW (Master of Social Work) from California State University, San Bernardino. She debuted as an author in 2016 with "Angelique - A Transitional Age Youth Novel," also available on Amazon's website. It is a sobering account of one girl's life before, during, and after her time in foster care as well as a reminder that child abuse and neglect can impact any family at any time. All while shining a light on the devastating effects of substance abuse and addiction. This past May, Deena earned a second master's degree in Social Entrepreneurship from the Marshall School of Business at USC. The program challenged her to find innovative ways to advocate for former foster youth, and as a student, she founded Green Pines Media.

"One of our artists left extended foster care with a check, but no solid life skills. Once their money ran out, they struggled with homelessness until we started working together. Their first song with Green Pines Media got them off of the streets. This doesn't feel like social work because there's no stigma when it comes to their art, says Deena."

The team is currently gearing up to release music for various talent signed to Green Pines Media. They accept all genres of music to include Hip Hop/Rap, Pop, Neo-soul, Indie rock, Jazz, and EDM.
