(Black PR Wire) MIAMI, FL -- Podcasts are all the rave these days and Black PR Wire is jumping on the podcast craze. Black America’s premier news distribution wire service will release its first episodes of Thrivin’ in Color fittingly during Black History Month. Team members of the Thrivin in Color podcast have been diligently working behind the scenes to bring its audience unforgettable episodes that will leave them wanting more. From interviews to community events, Thrivin’ in Color is guaranteed to make its mark in the podcast world. The Podcast takes listeners into the world of incredibly successful Black and Brown men and women who are crushing it and simply thrivin’. As they share their inspirational success stories, they will also leave behind gems for those who are following in their footsteps.
“Thrivin in Color will be the most talked about podcast that empowers people to get out there and show the world what they’re made of,” said Camry Brown, the Newsroom Manager at Black PR Wire and host of the new podcast. Camry is no stranger to the podcast world and is a graduate of Florida Memorial University, south Florida’s only Historically Black College and University (HBCU). A true ball of energy, Camry took her first swing at podcasting after graduating from college with a degree in Communications. What started out as an internship at the digital radio station DaGr8FM turned into a full out show where she and her co-hosts touched on topics that most men and women were too afraid to talk about.
“We are thrilled to enter the podcast arena and bring a fresh perspective of how Black and brown people are Thrivin’ in Color,” said Bernadette Morris, president and CEO of Black PR Wire. “This podcast has been in the works for a while and now is the time to give listeners something new that keeps them informed and entertained. Be sure to tune in to hear what we have in store and to learn more.”
Podcasting has been around since 2004, thanks to creators Adam Curry and Dave Winer, and has grown tremendously ever since. Black podcast creators and listeners are growing, as well. In 2021, the first ever Edison Research Black Podcast Listener Report revealed that 36% of Black Americans listen to podcasts monthly. Black podcast listeners are more intrigued to listen to podcasts with Black hosts as they have honest and raw conversations and touch on Black Issues.
Thrivin’ in Color will have fun yet in-depth conversations about sports, music, health, entrepreneurship and much more. Episode 01 of Thrivin’ in Color will feature Bernadette Morris as she talks about entrepreneurship and the celebration of 30 years for her sister company, Sonshine Communications. In the other episodes, Camry sits with some special guests as they discuss dental hygiene in children and staying fit in sports. Listeners can catch new episodes of Thrivin’ in Color on all major platforms, including Spotify, Apple, and Google.
