Local Foundation, Global Empowerment Mission teams up with Former NBA Star Rick Fox’s Bahamas Relief Foundation to provide supplies for Abaconians to rebuild their homes, businesses and schools
(Black PR Wire) MIAMI, Florida – One month following the catastrophic Hurricane Dorian that affected an estimated 70, 000 Bahamians on the Islands of Abaco and Grand Bahama a local South Florida 501 C organization, Global Empowerment Mission (G.E.M.), has announced a partnership with former NBA star and 3-time world Champion, Rick Fox, President of Bahamas Relief Foundation, to mobilize a massive reconstruction effort towards the rebuilding of communities across Abaco, Bahamas.

The Press Conference is being hosted by:
- Rick Fox, former NBA star and 3-time champion, founder of The Bahamas Relief Foundation
- Michael Capponi, Founder of Global Empowerment Mission
- Linda Mackey, Consul General for the Consulate of The Bahamas, Florida, will represent the government of The Bahamas’ newly appointed Bahamas Minister of State for Disaster Preparedness, Management and Reconstruction (a new ministry in The Bahamas created in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian).
The press will then be given a tour of Mega Yacht Global’s 230 ft yacht that has been transporting G.E.M.’s aid and construction supplies to the Bahamas. It will leave immediately following the event. The yacht is docked at:
