(Black PR Wire) Miami -- In the age of COVID-19, taking care of our health is more paramount than ever.  In observance of National Minority Health Month, recognized each year in April, Jessie Trice Community Health System (JTCHS) joins health providers who work tirelessly each day to raise awareness about the health disparities that continue to affect racial and ethnic minorities. They also work to increase awareness about the groundbreaking policies to reduce these disparities and achieve health equity, and to highlight the critical role of prevention in reducing health disparities. It is a call to action, a charge for all of us to unite towards a common goal of improving the health of our communities.

During National Minority Health Month, the HHS Office of Minority Health (OMH) and federal and non-federal partners will focus on the impact COVID-19 is having on racial and ethnic minority communities and underscore the need for these vulnerable communities to get vaccinated as more vaccines become available. Vaccination against COVID-19 is an important tool to help us stop the spread of the virus and to bring this pandemic to an end so we can get back to doing the things we love doing.
