Don't forget to ask about our special Elections Year opportunity for candidates. “Black women are proven to be an important voting block. And we are seeing that we are getting the recognition that we deserve in 2018. Instead of just voting, we should organize and get more Black women running for office. We are excited to have Congresswoman Frederica Wilson in attendance - she is very passionate about women’s ability to WIN in the political arena and will be providing closing remarks . Furthermore, this is an opportunity to have a dialogue with Orange County Clerk of Court Tiffany Moore Russell, and Councilwoman Felicia Robinson on how they became elected officials. Adding to the dialogue are Regional Campaign Finance Advisor of Emily’s List Quiana McKenzie and former Executive Director of Florida Democratic Party Sally Boynton Brown,” says Makeda McLune, co-chair of the event.
