(BLACK PR WIRE) – PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – In recognition of Father’s Day, the Men’s Ministry of the Koinonia Worship Center will host “The Father’s Call” Conference. The conference takes place on Tuesday, June 11th at 7 p.m. at the Koinonia Worship Center, located at 4900 W. Hallandale Beach Boulevard in Pembroke Park, FL.Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
“This conference will provide the opportunity for fathers to share life lessons with boys and young men in our communities," says Elder Mathes Guice, chair of the Men’s Ministry division and the Conference Organizer. “Our goal and mission will be to engage in proactive strategies and activities for corrective change through a number of thought-provoking forums and discussion sessions and we look forward to seeing you there.”
The Father’s Call conference will include a series of discussion forums that will address three key topics: Forum 1: Social Justice – Where we address the Children’s Services Council (CSC) and their net impact on the educational process, the Department of Juvenile Justice, jails and the prison system. The CSC has received over half a billion dollars to address social engineering-type programs. The objective of this forum is to discuss and determine a community response regarding the allocation of tax dollars to the CSC.
Forum 2: Lessons from Fathers – Men will discuss their fathers’ or significant role model’s positive and negative experiences on their lives, and the influences on their present roles in their families, churches and communities. A key purpose of this discussion is to instruct participants in the proper roles and responsibilities of fathers and their net overall impact.
Forum 3: Fathers from Boys’ Perspectives – Boys of various ages will discuss the fathers in their lives or the lack of fathers and/or role models in their lives. Information gathered from this forum will be used in the Rites of Passage Program for programming purposes.
All men and boys are encouraged to attend and actively participate in these vital sessions. For more information, contact the Koinonia Worship Center at (954) 964-2901.
