(BLACK PR WIRE) – (Miami, Florida) – “Behavior showing high moral standards,” is the definition you get when looking up the word “virtue”. So it was only right that this characteristic be implemented into LOV (Ladies of Virtue).
LOV is a ministry that was established almost a year ago by the current president Prisca Ester Duclos. Mrs. Duclos who is of 26 years of age was born in La Gonave, Haiti. She is a graduate of the University of Florida with Bachelors in Health Education, as well as a graduate from the University of Miami with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She is also a wife and a mother to Sanaa Duclos.
Duclos who competed and won The Miss Virtuous pageant a little more than a decade ago, was at that time inspired to create an organization that would motivate Haitian young ladies to become inspirational women who possess the divine purpose, image, and vision of Christ. But with all the demands of life her dream was pushed aside.
It wasn’t until last year after attending a revival in Jacksonville; Duclos was led by the Holy Spirit to begin work on Ladies of Virtue. But of course she knew that she would not be able to do this alone. So with the help of 8 other ladies LOV kicked off on October 6, 2011.
LOV’s mission is to educate, encourage, and bring accountability to its’ members through monthly realistic and modern day biblical teachings. “We want to mentor them into a life-long relationship with God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit,” says Duclos.
Although the ministry has only been established for almost a year, they plan on taking the world by storm. With their motto being, “Girls of Today, Women of Tomorrow.” They chose their logo to be a butterfly because it represents the journey of young girls growing to become strong and beautiful women.
They are currently working with another church in West Palm Beach to begin a Palm Beach chapter. The organization’s ultimate goal is to have chapters all over Florida and unite annually at a massive conference. “I am reminded daily of how awesome our God is,” says Duclos. “Not only do we want to see these Haitian girls grow into educated, God fearing women who are devoted to their communities and families but we plan on changing the face of Haiti one girl at a time… girls of today, women of tomorrow”.
