(BLACK PRWIRE)(FAMU-TALLAHASSEE) ( March 9, 2009) - - PRodigy Public Relations Firm is a student-run public relations firm on the campus of Florida A&M University (FAMU) that is designed to assist students with learning about public relations through real-life clients.
The firm has worked with clients such as Victoria’s Secret PINK, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the inauguration of FAMU’s 10th President James H. Ammons.
“I joined PRodigy because I needed experience with public relations and I knew that PRodigy would give me the opportunity to expand my knowledge about it,” said Demetria Wright, a PRodigy associate.
Every student in PRodigy is considered an associate. The associates control every aspect of the company, from which clients they decide to work with to the best way to provide the services needed to a client.

“I knew PRodigy was going to do great things on- and off-campus when I joined,” said Marlon Williams, director of finance for PRodigy. Williams, who is also a senior public relations student at FAMU, thinks PRodigy is on its way to national recognition. “This is only the beginning. We’ve accomplished a lot in the past three years. I’m excited to see what new heights we reach in the future.”
